What we collect, and what we do not.

The short version

We collect what you send us through the contact form, and nothing else that identifies you. We do not sell data, we do not share it with advertisers, and there is no mailing list to be added to. If you have never contacted us, we hold nothing about you beyond the ordinary server logs described below.

What the contact form collects

The form asks for your name, your email address and a description of what you are dealing with. Those three are required, because we cannot reply without them. It also offers three optional fields: your organization, its rough headcount, and which service line you think applies. They exist so the first conversation starts further along, and leaving them blank costs you nothing.

What you submit is sent by email to Info@FinchamSystems.com and nowhere else. It is not written to a database, not pushed into a CRM, and not passed to any third-party marketing tool, because none of those exist here. The message sits in a mailbox, which is the same place a direct email to us would land.

Spam protection

The form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which distinguishes people from automated submissions. To do that, Cloudflare processes your IP address and some technical properties of your browser. Turnstile is used specifically because it does this without tracking you across sites and without the advertising profile that a conventional captcha builds. Cloudflare acts as our processor for this, under its own privacy terms.

The form also contains a hidden field that a person never sees and never fills in. Automated scripts fill it in, which is how we discard them. It collects nothing about you.

Hosting and server logs

This site is hosted on Microsoft Azure Static Web Apps. As with any web server, requests generate logs that can include IP addresses, timestamps, requested URLs and user-agent strings. These are operational records used to keep the site running and to investigate abuse. We do not use them to build a profile of you, and we do not combine them with anything you submit through the form.

Email is delivered through Microsoft 365. Messages you send us are stored in that mailbox, and Microsoft acts as our processor for it.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are read and how people arrive. It sets cookies and processes your IP address to infer an approximate location, which Google discards rather than stores. We do not use it for advertising or remarketing, we have not enabled Google Signals, and we do not link analytics data to anything you send through the contact form. Google acts as our processor for it.

If you would rather not be counted, browser do-not-track settings, content blockers and the Google Analytics opt-out add-on all work here. Nothing on this site depends on analytics running, so blocking it costs you no functionality.

Cookies

This site sets analytics cookies as described above. Cloudflare Turnstile may also set a short-lived token while it verifies a form submission. Nothing else sets a cookie: there is no advertising, personalization or session tracking on this site.

How long we keep things

Correspondence is kept for as long as it is useful to the working relationship, and for any period a contract or a tax obligation requires. If you ask us to delete an enquiry that did not become an engagement, we will, and we will confirm when it is done.

Your rights

You can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Under US state privacy laws you may also have rights to access a portable copy of your data and to object to certain processing. We do not sell personal data or use it for targeted advertising, so those particular opt-outs do not arise here.

Children

This is a business-to-business service. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, the date below changes with it. We do not quietly revise it.
